For years, athletes have relied on wearables to track steps, heart rate, and sleep. However, our biggest insight in 2026 is clear: athletes are moving beyond passive monitoring.


They no longer want just data. They are actively seeking meaningful interventions that help them improve sleep quality, accelerate recovery, enhance performance, and optimize training readiness. This shift from simple data collection to actionable support is where the next wave of performance innovation will happen.


Our Work with the Hong Kong Sports Institute (HKSI)

This insight is grounded in real-world experience. We collaborated with the Hong Kong Sports Institute (HKSI) to develop specialised recovery sleepbuds for elite athletes. Our objective was clear: create a comfortable solution that supports better sleep and recovery - two critical factors that significantly impact performance and help prevent injury.


Our team also had the honor of presenting at the recent Hong Kong Sports Science and Technology Symposium, where we shared our findings on the evolving needs of high-performance athletes and the limitations of traditional monitoring approaches.


The Key Insight: Passive to Active

Through this collaboration, several important insights emerged:

  • Teams are shifting from reactive to proactive monitoring, focusing on preparing athletes for upcoming demands rather than simply responding only after issues arise 

  • Monitoring is most valuable when it enables individualized training, not one-size-fits-all plans

  • Data only becomes truly useful when it informs real coaching decisions, not when it just fills a dashboard

These findings reinforce our vision for the future of sports technology: solutions that bridge the gap between passive monitoring and actionable intervention.


Our Latest R&D Focus

Building on the insights from our HKSI collaboration, our current research and development is centered on sleep-enhancing in-ear bio-sensing.


An integrated, comfortable solution capable of simultaneously tracking SpO2 and sleeping position is critically needed. We are proud to introduce Hera Leto (HLZ), the first device to combine SpO2 monitoring and sleeping position tracking in a single, comfortable, non-intrusive earbud form factor.

The HLZ delivers comprehensive sleep insights through advanced in-ear sensors, including:

  • SpO2 Levels: continuous oxygen saturation tracking

  • Heart Rate: real-time cardiac monitoring during sleep

  • Head Position: ear-based stable positional data

  • Sleep Stage: intelligent sleep cycle analysis

  • Respiratory Rate: breath pattern monitoring


By combining these capabilities, the HLZ goes beyond traditional sleep tracking. It helps empower patients and athletes with actionable sleep data, supports clinicians in making better-informed decisions, and enables a smooth transition from hospital-based care to effective home monitoring. This hospital-to-home continuum is especially valuable for post-surgery recovery, chronic condition management, and elite athletic performance optimization.
